The Farmers’ Market, which began on Wednesday 28 November 2012, is held on the second and last Wednesday of every month from 08:00 - 15:00 (apart from January and December when it takes place on the last Wednesday of the month and the Wednesday prior to Christmas). The stalls are positioned outside the Main Entrance of Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
In addition to offering a great choice in fresh foods and produce, the Farmers’ Market supports local businesses as well as social enterprises working with disadvantaged local people.
The Farmers' Market is always interested in hearing from stallholders.
Following expansion of the Farmers’ Market to include the second Wednesday of every month, we can now offer more places for new stalls and we would like potential parties to express their interest by emailing Antony Cobley.
Applicants will be selected based upon how they complement the current mix of stalls and evidence of a food hygiene certification must accompany the expression of interest.
The Farmers' Market only allows stall holders to trade with us who hold the FSA food standard rating of 4 or 5. For further details please visit the Food Standards Agency website.
We are particularly keen to support social enterprise and community enterprise groups. Please note we do not allow cooking of food on-site and do not have power available.
