Choose and Book information for GPs
Choose and Book is a national IT system that enables patients to choose where they wish to attend their first outpatient appointment and to book a convenient date and time from the choices available to them at their GP surgery.
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust first implemented Choose and Book to book first outpatient appointments in September 2005. We currently provide direct bookings into over 120 services across 27 specialties, including a number of community-based clinics.
The Trust is currently working towards making two week wait and diagnostics appointments available for direct booking via Choose and Book. For further information on the following, please contact the Service Improvement Team:
