Meet the Community Development Team

The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) Community Development Team is based at Selly Oak Hospital and consists of the following members of staff:

• Sioux Bailey, Head of Outpatients and Community Service Development
• Louise Hill, Community Development Manager
• Debbie Humphries, Community Development Manager
• Joanne Wells, Community Development Manager

The team works closely with the following primary care trusts (PCTs) to provide community services for new UHB outpatient clinics, at sites across all three PCT catchment areas:

• Birmingham East and North
• Heart of Birmingham
• South Birmingham

Dudley, South Staffordshire and Walsall PCTs have also approached UHB to provide a service. 

All services provided within the community are available on "Choose and Book" to ensure patient choice and to provide GPs with information to book patients into the right clinic.

Services currently running include:

• Dermatology
• Plastics
• Neurology
• Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)
• Ophthalmology
• Heart Assessment Clinic (HAC)
• Orthopaedic Assessment and Treatment Service (OATS) HoB PCT
• Cardiology HoB PCT (Sparkbrook area)
