How to apply for work experience
Students under 17 years of age
If you are under 17 you will need to check the "Am I eligible for work experience?" page to see if your school qualifies. You will also need to contact your careers tutor for information on how to apply. If work placements are available at the Trust you will be given an application form to complete and return to your tutor.
Students 17 years of age and over
Please note that all placement vacancies in 2012 are fully booked. Departments listed below may still accept placements.
If you are 17 or over you can apply for a work placement at UHB by emailing the work experience team with your:
- full name
- age
- contact number
- email address
- departments of interest
- availability

Once your email has been received we will inform you of the placement opportunities available.
A selection of departments at UHB require a different application process. Please see below for more details of Occupational Therapy, Medical Physics and Science and Research placements.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy offer two-day placements for students looking for a career in this field of work. To apply you must be 17 years of age or over.

Medical Physics
The Medical Physics team offer placements for individuals looking to follow a career in Medical Physics and are 17 years of age or over.
