Major incident exercise – ONLY A TEST

Story posted/last updated: 25 March 2012

A major incident exercise is underway this morning (Sunday 25 March) at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB). This is a test, not a real incident.

QEHB is carrying out the exercise to test its Major Incident Plan, should such an event happen, and is contacting key staff, when and if appropriate.

The exercise will have no impact on the care delivered to patients. It is scheduled to finish around 12 noon.
