Security fence installation at Selly Oak

Story posted/last updated: 08 June 2010

The Trust will soon begin decanting clinical and administrative services from the Selly Oak Hospital site to the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, leaving parts of the Selly Oak site vacant.

For safety and security reasons, the Trust is erecting a security fence around part of the site. This work started on Thursday 27 May 2010.

This fence will run partly along the boundary of the site and partly among the complex of buildings on the northern part of the hospital site.

The location of the fence is determined by the need to protect those buildings and parts of the site that will be vacated in Move 1.Please note, the fence will not affect staff access to car parks or those areas of Selly Oak Hospital which remain open.
