Southampton NHS managers visit UHB

Story posted/last updated: 29 November 2012

UHB recently hosted a visit by senior managers from Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust. The four-strong delegation from Southampton met with Robin Snead, Deputy Director of Operations for Division 3, to discuss how UHB has implemented changes during the move to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

After the meeting, which focused on areas around the operations of the Emergency Department, including imaging, nursing and finance, Robin said:

"This has the potential to be built into a strong relationship, between the two very similar organisations, so that we can learn from each other as we move forward and hopefully avoid making the same mistakes."
