Pharmacy stores and ward stock
Pharmacy stores
The Pharmacy store is located at the UHB Warehouse, Melchett Road, Kings Norton. The department consists of storekeepers, ATOs, procurement and distribution staff. The Pharmacy store is responsible for the control of stock in the region of £35 million per year.
Ward stock
Most wards and units at UHB have their stock topped up by Pharmacy technicians and assistants once a week. Theatres and wards with a high usage of drugs are replenished more frequently.
