Physiotherapy
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust Physiotherapy Department is one of the largest physiotherapy departments in the Midlands. The service provides an inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy service to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, the old Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Selly Oak Hospital and St Mary’s Hospice.
We are here to provide a clinically effective and integrated patient-centred physiotherapy service committed to continuing professional development. We liaise with other health professionals in order to maximise the health gain of the patients we treat.
The musculo-skeletal outpatient service is predominately a consultant referral service. We receive an average of 1000 new outpatient referrals per month and 2000 new inpatients per month.
