Pre-registration graduate training

The Pharmacy department provides structured training for pharmacy graduates in accordance with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain's pre-registration performance standards training programme.

UHB forms part of South Birmingham Teaching Hospitals pre-registration scheme where a number of positions are available each year. The programme is varied and includes placements at Selly Oak Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham Children's Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Psychiatric Hospital.

The programme allocates each tutor with one pre-registration pharmacist for the year that is supported by trainers in various areas. To complement the regional study day programme an in-house programme for tutorials has been set up by the Trust. If you are interested in pre-registration placements or require more information, please contact Donna Cooper, Senior Pharmacist:

Telephone: ext. 3869
Email: Donna.Cooper@uhb.nhs.uk

Please note that all applications must be formally submitted through the Pharmalife website. Pharmalife manage all NHS hospital pre-registration pharmacy graduate positions in England and Wales.
