Instrumentation used
The following equipment is used in instrument calibration:
- IEC RQR air kerma:
- Radcal 9015 controller with 10X5-6 ionisation chamber, calibrated in IEC specified radiation beams by PTB, Germany
- Mammography air kerma:
- Radcal 9015 controller with 10X5-6M ionisation chamber, calibrated in reference mammography beams by PTB, Germany
- IEC RQC air kerma:
- NE Technology type 2550 assembly with type 2551/1 ionisation chamber, calibrated in ISO narrow radiation beams by NPL
- Peak accelerating potential kV:
- Hyperpure germanium detector system, used in combination with calibrated invasive divider system for mammography kVp
