Collection and delivery by courier
We can arrange the carriage (including transit insurance of £5000) of instruments to and from RRPPS. If you wish to increase the amount of transit insurance cover we will be pleased to offer a quotation.
The cost of carriage depends upon weight, but a medium size case, not containing any radioactive check source, will be in the region of £20 each way. Please schedule a date with instrument calibration staff before dispatching any instruments.

Instrument Calibration Service
RRPPS
63 Melchett Road
Kings Norton Business Centre
Birmingham, B30 3HP
It is your responsibility to ensure that any radioactive check sources accompanying your instruments conform with the UK Radioactive Materials (Transport by Road) Regulations 1996. An approved courier can be arranged to collect your instrument(s).
Turnaround time
A 10-day turnaround is offered, although instruments can usually be calibrated quicker in urgent cases (there may be an extra charge for this service).
Repair of faulty instruments
As part of our comprehensive calibration service we offer a competitive repair service. No repairs are carried out without your acceptance of our written quotation. You can be assured that a fully functional and calibrated instrument will be returned to you as quickly as possible.
Independence
RRPPS has no formal links with any instrument manufacturers so you can be assured of our unbiased expertise in all aspects of instrument calibration and repair.
If any aspect of the calibration fails, the customer is informed and a brief assessment of the cause of failure is investigated. A repair quotation is prepared for the authorisation of any work to be carried out.
Our experienced team not only compare the calibration results to type test data but also consider the history of the instrument, as regular changes in the instrument's performance could help us to predict inevitable faults.
