Specialty quality indicators
Clinical staff and the Health Informatics Team are currently developing quality indicators for each of the Trust's clinical specialties. The purpose of the indicators is to enable the quality of care delivery to be measured and improved.
Data relating to the Trust's performance has been analysed and checked internally before publication. The UK national average is also included where possible. The Trust is working with other hospitals both here and abroad so that performance can be compared for more indicators in the future.
Data will be updated monthly and will include all variations in performance. Some variation is to be expected. The Trust investigates variations to ensure that actions are taken where necessary to improve performance.
