Tinnitus Awareness Week
Story posted/last updated: 12 January 2015
2 – 8 February 2015
UHB Audiologists are joining forces with volunteers from the Birmingham & District Tinnitus Group to mark Tinnitus Awareness Week, organised by the British Tinnitus Association.
The team have organised a stand in the QEHB atrium on Thursday 5 February 2015 from 09:00 – 16:00 and together, they aim to raise awareness of tinnitus and what can be done to help.
The team will have information packs from the British Tinnitus Association (BTA) and will be demonstrating some equipment used to help tinnitus sufferers. UHB’s Audiologists and Hearing Therapists, who are experts in the condition, will be able to offer advice and volunteers from the Birmingham & District Tinnitus Group will be discussing their experience of tinnitus, what help they have received and what has worked for them.
Please come along to the stand and find out more about the condition and what support is available.
For more information about Tinnitus Awareness Week, please visit the BTA website.
