Useful information

What to wear for induction

Staff do not need to wear uniform whilst on induction; however you must wear clothing that is consistent with a professional image. Shoes should be flat soled, completely enclosed and suitable for the clinical training you will be receiving.

Please note however that healthcare support workers on unregistered induction will be required to wear uniform on the Friday, if they have it.

Food and drink

There are a number of food outlets within the hospital, but as the breaks throughout the day are short we would encourage you to bring your own food and drink. Refreshments are not provided during induction, and unfortunately we are unable to offer the facility to heat food.

Obtaining uniforms

You will need to organise your uniform prior to your start date with the Trust.

  • If you are working at the QEHB site, a uniform request form should be sent to you with your final recruitment email, however if you require a copy of this form you may download one from this page (please see "Downloads" below)
  • If you are working at the Heartlands, Good Hope or Solihull sites, please request your uniform via your manager

Staff parking permits

To request a parking permit:

  • For QEHB, download, complete and return the application form below (see "Downloads")
  • For Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull please follow the link below ("Applying for parking at Heartlands, Good Hope or Solihull")
