3M Aura FFP3 respirators

The Trust has received a range of different FFP3 respirator makes and models which has lead to a requirement for staff to be fit tested.
3M manufacture respirators for both healthcare and industrial use. This means the same product is coded differently for healthcare and industrial settings to help ensure a seamless supply chain.
Many staff have already been fit tested for the 3M Aura 1863+ but some areas will start to receive deliveries of 3M Aura 9330+.
The 3M Aura 1863+ is exactly the same model as the 3M Aura 9330+.
Fit testing guide

| Passed | Staff member can wear 3M Aura 1863+ and 3M Aura 9330+. A new fit test for 3M Aura 9330+ will not be required |
| Failed | Staff member cannot wear 3M Aura 1863+. Do not attempt fit testing on 9330+ and source an alternative respirator |
