The following guidance supports GPs to select patients who are appropriate for ultrasound examinations and assist diagnosis or disease management.
Ultrasound referrals are vetted and justified based on the British Medical Ultrasound Society guidelines to support good practice.
Referrals with insufficient clinical information will be rejected and returned.
