Considering a referral?

Occupational Health advice should be sought if the member of staff has reported any of the following health conditions:

  • Skin condition
  • Respiratory problems
  • Blood born infections
  • Epilepsy
  • Diabetes
  • Musculoskeletal problems
  • Mental health (stress risk assessment)
  • Substance abuse

Occupational Health should also be contacted if an employee is off on long term sickness and advice is needed regarding their health condition or any adjustments to support their return to work.

However, before referring an individual to Occupational Health, please review the following advice as many issues can be resolved locally without Occupational Health interventions.
