The Nutrition Nursing team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) is made up of specialist nurses and enteral nutrition technicians.
Nutrition nurses work across a range of multidisciplinary teams at UHB and have close links with:

- therapy services
The Nutrition Nursing team have their own outpatient clinics where they see patients referred to them by doctors, nurses, dietitians or other therapists.
Nutrition nurses are also key members of the Nutrition Support team.
Patients are usually referred to nutrition nurses if the doctor, nurse or dietitian believes a special feeding tube is needed or if a patient is experiencing problems with an inserted feeding tube.
The team are available Monday – Friday from 08:00 – 16:00 (excluding bank holidays). There is an answer machine in place if no one is available to take your call.
