What to expect from work experience

In view of the current Public Health England information about Coronavirus/COVID-19 and the emerging situation day-to-day, we have taken the regrettable decision to postpone all work experience placements for the foreseeable future.

What you can expect from us

  • An induction before your placement begins (includes emergency contact details, terms and conditions and induction checklist)
  • Information on maintaining confidentially
  • Information on working safely and within infection control guidelines
  • Provision of polo shirt (if applicable) and ID badge
  • A safe learning environment
  • Support and encouragement from trained staff
  • Respect
  • Equal opportunities

What we expect from you

  • Punctuality and attendance at all times
  • Problems in this area must be reported to the Work Experience Team and your supervisor
  • Professional conduct
  • Appropriate dress related to work experience department
  • Smart appearance – no denim or training shoes
  • Wear a visible hospital ID badge at all times (to be supplied)
  • Confidentiality in the workplace
  • Honesty
