Nutrition Support Team
The Nutrition Support Team is a multi-disciplinary team that consists of:
- nutrition nurses
- dietitian
- pharmacist
- consultant gastroenterologist
The support team focus on UHB patients with the most complicated nutritional problems that can occur as a result of diseases or surgery. The team also manages a highly specialised method of feeding patients directly into their blood stream.
Nutrition Support Team referrals
Patients with complicated nutritional problems can be referred to the Nutrirional Support Team by their doctor or dietitian.
