  1. The NHS in England has set targets to reach net zero by 2040 for direct emissions. Does your organisation have a clear roadmap of how you’re going to reach this target?
  2. What significant changes have you made – if any – since this goal was set in 2020?
  3. Does your organisation currently measure its total carbon footprint?
  4. Has your organisation received funding to spend on decarbonisation?
  5. If yes, where has this funding been spent?
  6. What percentage of your energy consumption from fossil fuels?

  2. The Trust was successful in bidding for the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme grant. We received approx. £61 million for undertaking various energy efficiency projects such as LED upgrades, de-steaming of heating systems, installing solar PV, building fabric insulation, windows replacement, heat pump installation etc.

  5. Upgrading of heating, lighting, and ventilation. Installing solar panels or other forms of renewable energy, carbon capture and storage solutions. Installing energy-efficient technologies and equipment such as LED lighting, HVAC systems together with the measures indicated in the response to Question 2.
