Mr Martin RichardsonHospital Executive Director for Solihull Hospital
Martin Richardson joined the NHS in Birmingham in 2003 specialising in Laparoscopic, Bariatric and Upper Gastro-Intestinal procedures.
He has since performed medical leadership roles within the organisation since 2014 as Divisional Medical Director. His most recent role is Medical Director – Operations across the Trust, clinically leading the Operational Improvement Team.
Martin also holds the position of Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) for Diagnostics and Cancer for the Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board (ICB), and sits on a number of regional diagnostic and cancer boards representing the Trust and/or ICB.
From his background in complex cancer surgery, he has transitioned from clinical leadership to hybrid senior operational management seamlessly over the past few years.
Martin was appointed HED in 2023.
