Iain PicklesChief Operating Officer
Iain has spent 18 years working in the NHS at a local and national level.
He started his career in administrative roles in an acute hospital and went on to hold a number of management roles within the acute sector in the East of England across a broad range of medical and surgical services.
In 2019 he took up a post with the national Elective and Emergency Care team at NHS England working with colleagues from across the wider health and care landscape on national policy development and implementation.
While at NHS England he was the national lead for the development and deployment of the COVID-19 Clinical Response Service and COVID-19 Clinical Assessment Service providing remote clinical triage and assessment for millions of patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2024 he joined University Hospitals Birmingham as Chief Operating Officer.
