Dr Nia is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust with a specialist interest in Capsule Endoscopy and digital innovation in GI diagnostics.
She led the UK’s first fully remote Colon Capsule Endoscopy (CCE) pilot using telemedicine consultation and is helping develop community-based diagnostic pathways through the £10 million WM5G initiative.
She has published on the clinical, environmental, and patient-centred impact of Colon Capsule Endoscopy and is a co-author of the first European CCE handbook. Her ongoing work focuses on expanding accessible, sustainable diagnostic models across the NHS.
