Syed trained in the Mersey rotation 2008-2012 and undertook a year's fellowship in sleep medicine and ventilation at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge. His interests include respiratory/non-respiratory sleep disorders, acute and domiciliary non-invasive ventilation.
