Mr Tarek BoutefnouchetConsultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon
Tarek is a consultant surgeon with a specialist interest in knee surgery. He graduated from the University of Birmingham and completed specialist training with Birmingham and Coventry Warwickshire Orthopaedic programmes, and also has a fellowship in knee surgery in Montreal, Canada specialising in arthroscopic and sports surgery as well as knee arthroplasty. His scope of practice incorporates sports injuries of the knee, ligaments reconstruction, cartilage and meniscal injuries of the knee, patellar instability, as well as the treatment of degenerative knee conditions including knee preservation and knee replacement. Tarek has also published numerous scientific articles and takes an active role in research and education. He is a researcher in mechanical engineering and honorary associate clinical professor at the University of Birmingham.
