Dr Kate KaneConsultant Gastroenterologist
Kate came to Birmingham as a medical student and never left. She completed all but one year of her postgraduate training at UHB and has been a consultant since 1998.
She has specialised in inflammatory bowel disease, nutrition and endoscopy. She has held significant roles in departmental management, post graduate education and revalidation.
She partially retired in 2025 and continues providing endoscopy service. She tries to prioritise patient experience in all aspects of her work.
