
Lesley WattsSolihull and Meriden
Lesley has lived in Solihull all of her life. She trained as a nurse and specialised in Adult Acute Nursing, and achieved a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing. Lesley's career started at Selly Oak Hospital and she retired from Solihull Hospital fourteen years ago. Since then she has supported TNAs, BCU with their Masters Degree in Nursing, taken a small part in helping Newman University developing their Degree in Nursing and had an active role in supporting Solihull Hospitals Patient and Public Involvement Forum.
Lesley has committed to helping develop Healthcare Professionals knowledge in a truly holistic attitude to patient care and has done so by taking part in Expert by Experience programmes.
In the community she is a committee member of Solihull Healthcare Partnerships (SHP) Patient Participation Group (PPG). The PPG supports patients in the community by actively bringing their concerns to the notice of SHP and helping resolution. The PPG also support SHP with volunteering to direct patients and ensuring the smooth running of, for example, flu clinics.
Since 1986 Lesley has developed a group of bonsai trees, and finds the hobby fascinating in its intricacies. She enjoys reading, the seaside and sitting in the sun in her garden.
