
William "John" CopeRest of England and Wales
John was born in Staffordshire, as an adult lived in the Black Country moving to Worcestershire 15 years ago.
He was Operations Director for a Finish Chemical Company with responsibility for numerous sites and a large staff.
John worked voluntarily with his local community to build a Community Centre and provided Consulting and Treatment rooms for local residents to have access to a GP monthly.
John was invited to join Sandwell CCG and Sandwell & West Birmingham Acute giving patient and staff experience fed back from patients mainly good but where problems were identified referred to appropriate pathways. He was chair of his local PPG.
John was a member of the Commissioning Team for NHS111, PTS, Community Care and eventually NHSE Digital Urgent and Emergency Care. He is currently a member of the team for the new Hereford and Worcestershire Out of Hours contract.
John’s hobbies include gardening and plant rearing, fly fishing football, cricket and Rugby Union He has raised funds and managed the installation of three Defibrillators plus trained local people in its use along with CPR refreshers. He manages several Guardians who regularly check the equipment and report finding to The Circuit so 999 operators can advise location where appropriate.
