Farzana AhmedCorporate and Support Services
Farzana Ahmed joined University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) in July 2023 and has worked in the NHS since 2018 in both primary care and NHS Trusts. Farzana has always been passionate about working for the NHS, inspired by the support and care provided to family members by the hospitals that make up UHB.
At 16, she volunteered at Good Hope Hospital helping with tea rounds and providing company to patients. Furthermore, during her gap year she worked as a health care assistant, an experience that further cemented her desire to work in an organisation that puts patients first and aligns with her values of empathy, adaptability, and a genuine desire to help patients.
Her current role as leadership engagement manager focuses on measuring staff engagement, implementing improvement initiatives, and supporting the development of colleagues on their leadership journey. As a qualified coach, accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, she is skilled and uniquely positioned to hear, understand, and advocate for the needs of both colleagues and patients.
Farzana is committed to fostering positive and supportive work environments built on a culture that values continuous learning and growth.
