Councillor Carol DeanLichfield District and Tamworth Borough Council
Carol is the Leader of Tamworth Borough Council and has previously been a Councillor at Staffordshire County Council with portfolio responsibilities covering schools, environmental health, trading standards and had the ‘safer and stronger communities’ brief. She has also held the following positions:
- Trustee of Staffordshire County Pension Scheme
- Member of the Environment Agency Regional Trent Flood Defence Committee
- Chair of Tamworth Early Years
- Member of Staffordshire Adoption Panel
- Chair of Staffordshire Drug and Alcohol Services
- Chair of Governors at Oakhill and Heathfields Primary Schools
Carol is currently a Governor at Florendine Primary School and a graduate of the iDea Leadership Academy.
Carol has three grown-up children and five grandchildren.
