Heartlands Treatment Centre (HTC)

About HTC

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is bringing a brand new centre to Heartlands Hospital. The exciting project will bring world-class facilities and house a wide range of health services across the four-storey build, which will care for half-a-million patients each year.

The story so far

With planning permission granted by Birmingham City Council for a new, four-storey facility on the Heartlands site, the £97.1m investment announced by the Department for Health and Social Care in August 2019 is an exciting step forward in progress of the new centre. Following a series of enabling works, construction on the new build will begin in spring 2020 and is scheduled to be completed by 2022.
