Patients and members of the public invited to expert talk on thyroid health

Patients and members of the public with an interest in thyroid health are invited to a talk with leading health professionals on Saturday 19 September, from 9.30am - midday, in Lecture Theatre 2, Education Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
Professor Nadia Schoenmakers and Professor Kristien Boelaert, both endocrinologists at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB), along with Professor Neil Sharma, Head and Neck Surgeon at UHB, will cover topics including:
- Thyroid tests and investigations
- Latest advances in thyroid treatment research
- Thyroid cancer and Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone Suppression Therapy (TSH Therapy)
- Living well without a thyroid
