Mr Siraj Natalwala, Associate Specialist Urology and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Good Hope Hospital, has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to healthcare. 

At a ceremony in New Delhi, India, hosted by the All India Council of Human Rights, Liberties and Social Justice (AICHLS), Mr Natalwala received the Global Humanitarian Excellence Award in Medical Services.  

The room was packed with international leaders committed to promoting human rights worldwide, with the awards recognising exceptional individuals from diverse fields, whose work has had a profound impact on society. 

The awards ceremony was part of the AICHLS 15th International Human Rights Summit.

Mr Natalwala said: “I’m honoured to receive this award in the company of so many amazing individuals from across the globe. We all share a common purpose which is to uphold, protect and promote human rights.

"I accept this award on behalf of all my patients and colleagues at Good Hope Hospital, and my family – medicine is a team effort and I couldn’t do my job without their support.”
