We provide high-quality care for people with lung cancer across our hospital sites. Our specialist teams work together to make sure you receive the right tests, treatments and support when you need them.

Where we provide care

Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB)

QEHB is our main cancer centre. It offers specialist tests, treatments and support in one place.

  • Tests and diagnosis: including scans and biopsies
  • Surgery: specialist lung cancer surgery
  • Cancer treatments: chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy
  • Radiotherapy: provided by the Cancer Centre team
  • Specialist clinics: run by a team of lung cancer experts
  • Support: including psychological support, dietitians and palliative care
  • Research: opportunities to join clinical trials

Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull Hospitals (HGS)

These hospitals provide many lung cancer services closer to home. If you need specialist treatment, you may be referred to QEHB.

  • Tests and diagnosis: including scans and biopsies
  • Cancer treatments: chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy
  • Specialist clinics: run by the lung cancer team at each site
  • Support: including psychological support, dietitians and palliative care
  • Research: opportunities to take part in clinical trials
