University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) is one of two centres responsible for the specialist national service for adults with epidermolysis bullosa (EB), with referrals predominately taken across England and Wales.
The services aims to provide the highest standard of care for our patients, working as a multidisciplinary team (MDT), facilitating access to specialist services such as:
- dental treatment
- orthopaedic surgery
- plastic surgery
- hand surgery
- clinical oncology
- specialist gastroenterology treatment
Research is a key part of our service, as we work to improve standards and broaden the scope of treatment options available to our patients.
