Advice Line

The IBD Advice Line is for questions about your IBD, such as:

  • an increase in symptoms
  • prescription renewals, or
  • advice about medication

The advice line should not be used instead of seeking urgent medical attention if you need it.

When calling the advice line you will need to leave a voicemail message. A member of staff will listen to the message and act on it according to clinical urgency.

To help us prioritise calls, it is important that you leave your:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Hospital number (if known)
  • Contact number
  • Best time to contact you
  • Brief message outlining the reason for your call

We aim to return calls from patients experiencing a flare within one working day. This is not always possible if there is a high volume of calls on the same day.

How to find us

  • All clinic appointments: Clinic Area 2 (Through Main Entrance), Ground Floor, QEHB
