Dawn WilliamsUrogynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist
Dawn Williams qualified as a nurse in 1993 at Good Hope Hospital, where she gained extensive experience in gynaecology and developed a specialist interest in urogynaecology. She progressed to a senior nurse role and completed postgraduate qualifications in gynaecological nursing, continence promotion, incontinence management, and urodynamics.
After stepping back in 2002 for caring responsibilities, she remained part of the Urogynaecology team until 2008, when she transitioned to gynaecology ambulatory care. In 2018, she became a Urogynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist, leading clinics in pessary management, bladder pain, continence assessments, and urodynamics while working closely with a multidisciplinary team.
Committed to patient-centered care, Dawn ensures women are informed and involved in their treatment. She has completed further accredited courses in menopause, endometriosis, pessary management, and gynaecology assessment. A certified specialist in urodynamics since 2020, she is a member of UKCS, BMS, and ACP.
Her passion lies in raising awareness of continence promotion and pelvic health through education and global initiatives like World Continence Week.
