Heartlands Hospital’s Haematology and Oncology Day Unit

Getting there 

The location of the Heartlands Hospital Haematology and Oncology Day Unit has changed.

Drop off point

  • Enter the hospital site via the Yardley Green Road entrance – see map  
  • Drive onto the site and turn right at the security barrier 
  • Press the button and you will be let through 
  • Drive forward, passing the children’s play area on your left 
  • Follow the road around for 200 metres  
  • The unit is on your left  

If you are parking in the main hospital visitor car park via Bordesley Green Road East, follow these directions: 

Directions from Heartlands Hospital’s main entrance 

Our new building has an outside entrance.  

  • Go out the main entrance and turn left 
  • Follow the path 
  • You will pass the Emergency Department (A&E) on your left  
  • Continue following the path under the canopies  
  • Follow the pavement - be careful of the barrier 
  • Go around the corner to the right 
  • The Haematology and Oncology Day Unit entrance is the new building on the right 

Directions from the Medical Innovation, Development and Research Unit (MIDRU) 

Our new building has an outside entrance: 

  • Turn right out of the MIDRU entrance 
  • Follow signs to the main entrance 
  • Walk past the main entrance, stay outside 
  • Go past the Emergency Department (A&E) 
  • Go past the building entrances under the canopy 
  • Follow the pavement by the road - be careful of the barrier 
  • Go around the corner to the right 
  • The Haematology and Oncology Day Unit entrance is the new building on the right
