Our team of paediatric dietitians works across all three of our hospitals. We provide inpatient care at Birmingham Heartlands and Good Hope Hospitals and dietetic-led outpatients clinics located at Birmingham Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull Hospitals. We work within speciality teams such as diabetes and cystic fibrosis, including attending multidisciplinary clinics. We also support children who require tube feeding, working closely with the paediatric nutrition nursing team.
Paediatric dietitians will provide advice and education on diets for children who need nutritional support or a therapeutic diet to support their medical management.
If a special diet is needed during a hospital stay, the dietitians work with the catering team to make sure the right food is provided.
Out service is provided Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:00.
