Some of the medication used after a kidney transplant can cause stomach (gastric) irritation, therefore initially you will be started on Lansoprazole to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach. If you are not experiencing indigestion four months after your surgery, discuss with your kidney transplant team if you can stop this.
