Information governance guidance for COVID-19

Due to the increased importance of remote consultation and remote working, some standard IG rules have been temporarily relaxed.

The guidelines are available to view on the link below and follow the national guidance and that of the Information Commissioner.

Outpatient X-ray hours changing

Outpatient X-ray at QEHB is changing its hours of operation.

From Monday 6 April 2020 the department's hours will be 09:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.

The hours are being changed to increase staffing in other areas of the department during this challenging time.

Local councils are providing the latest information on what childcare is available to key workers.

Controlled drug ordering – electronic requisitions

From Thursday 2 April 2020 the current process of ordering controlled drugs via CD order books will be suspended temporarily across the Trust, and replaced with an electronic solution.

These changes are to improve patient access to medicines while safeguarding staff and ensuring CD ordering processes can be achieved during periods of staff shortages.
