Update, 11 June

Published: 11 June 2020

Thank you letter to staff

The Chairs of the Trust’s four Patient, Carer & Community Councils have written a joint letter to all staff for their work during the COVID-19 outbreak.

In the letter, which highlights "outstanding" care, they write: “Please remember everything you have done and achieved over these past months is deeply appreciated by us and the community.”

Library services update

The library counter at QEHB will re-open week next week.

QEHB service has made a number of changes to how it runs and works to help make it a safer environment for both Trust staff using the service and the library team providing it.

To ensure the library spaces adhere to social distancing rules we have taken out of use a number of PCs and seating areas. We can’t stress enough the importance of social distancing, so please do not move seating closer together or sit round desks in groups as we will ask you to move 2 metres apart.

Cash will not be taken at the counter. Services such as printing and photocopying are very much still available, but you will need to now bring your own paper (max 50 sheets).

Before coming to the library please make sure you have all the equipment you need as counter services at this time will not be able to provide you with stationery, paper or headphones.

We ask when using the library please be mindful of library staff and each other, if you see library staff working around the library please ensure you provide them the 2 metre distance.

We want the library to be as safe as it can be and we ask for the cooperation of all who use us to help make it so, by keeping the 2 metre distancing and observing all library notices and measures put in place.

We are also looking to implementing a one-way system and this may mean temporary closure of areas while we put this in place.

We appreciate your patience and will provide further updates as they occur.

Free staff parking passes for Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull hospitals which are due to expire on 15 June can be renewed by attending any of the Car Park/Security offices across the three sites.
