Face masks in shared offices

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, controls have been introduced in all non-clinical areas, including shared offices and staff rooms, to keep you and your colleagues safe:

  • In shared offices, if you cannot social distance (maintain a two metre distance) - you must wear a face-covering which the Trust has provided.
  • If staff can work from home safely and effective, then they must do so.
  • Masks should only be removed for eating and drinking. Please maintain social distancing while taking your breaks.
  • All staff should also be routinely and frequently cleaning their desk/work areas and shared spaces such as kitchens and staff rooms. We advise this should take place a minimum of three times a day, or after individual uses.

Using disinfectant wipes, staff are advised to stop and clean their space, to stay safe.

Touch points such as:

  • Door handles/door push plates

  • Cupboard doors/handles

  • Chair arms/adjustment levers

Pathology update - tests

Laboratories across UHB are currently under significant pressure. Please do not call the laboratory to chase results. All results will be released automatically as soon as tests are completed.  If your query is related to staff testing then please contact the Occupational Health Team in the first instance.

Social distancing in library
