It’s been four years since we launched our Trust values, Kind, Connected and Bold. To mark the occasion, we are launching a new ‘Cup of Kindness’ initiative across our UHB restaurants and cafes.
Inspired by random acts of kindness and the positive impact they can have – both on those carrying them out and those in receipt of them - colleagues can now surprise a fellow UHB colleague by buying them a hot drink at any UHB-run restaurant or cafe.
How it works
Order a ‘Cup of Kindness’ at the till of any of the following participating restaurants or cafes:
- Good Hope Hospital: The Orchard Restaurant and Richard Salt Unit Coffee Shop
- Heartlands Hospital: The Refectory
- Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham: The Clock Tower Cafe, The ITM Restaurant and The Plaza Restaurant
- Solihull Hospital: Seasons Restaurant and Solihull Coffee Shop
You will be asked if you would like to buy a tea (£2.10) or a premium coffee (£2.60 - includes all types of coffee and hot chocolate).
The next UHB colleague to present at the cafe/restaurant and order a hot drink will be gifted the Cup of Kindness, receiving a free hot drink and a token explaining that a fellow UHB colleague has paid for this for them today in a random act of kindness.
Who is it for?
The initiative is for UHB colleagues only. Colleagues must be wearing a staff ID badge to participate (or benefit from) the initiative.
Retail outlets and restaurants that are not run by UHB, for example Starbucks, Costa, WH Smith, M&S, are not part of this initiative.
When does it end?
There is no set end date.
