Waheed currently serves as a trustee for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, Edgbaston Cricket Foundation and the Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust. Previously, he held the position of West Midlands Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner.

Throughout his career, Waheed has held numerous non-executive roles on national and regional boards across various sectors, including healthcare, housing, charity, policing and non-departmental public bodies. In addition, he has held executive positions within the NHS, private sector and national bodies.

He has successfully led and developed service provision, spearheaded strategic management initiatives, championed equality, diversity and inclusion efforts, managed risks and governance, driven business development and facilitated transformative organisational changes.

With an educational background in social policy from the London School of Economics, Waheed is also a fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.
