Colleagues got into the party spirit to celebrate the Treatment Centre’s 20th birthday.

The building opened back in September 2005 at a cost of £17 million and was the first of its kind in Birmingham and the Black Country.

The birthday occasion was marked by fundraising activities for Good Hope Hospital Charity, and a visit from Rt Hon Sir Andrew Mitchell MP. Colleagues exchanged specially designed thank you cards in appreciation of their hard work and dedication over the past two decades.

When it first opened its doors, the Treatment Centre ran 80 clinics, with a plan to see 3,000 patients weekly. Twenty years on and the building hosts over 200 clinics a week for a range of specialties, plus diagnostic services and procedures.

Dawn Reynolds, outpatient manager, has managed the Treatment Centre since it opened. She said: “We’ve got a great team here and it was brilliant to celebrate 20 years together. There have been a lot of changes, but we all still love what we do.”
