Important information for patients on Monday 19 September 2022

Published on 13/09/2022

It has been confirmed that Her Majesty The Queen’s funeral, on Monday 19 September, will be treated as a national bank holiday.

Our hospitals will run the same services for patients that we do during other bank holidays; this means urgent and emergency care will continue, as will a range of other vital services. However, some appointments will change on Monday and we may need to contact you about this.

If you have a planned hospital appointment on Monday 19 September

Unless you hear from us this week about rescheduling your appointment to another day, it is very important that you attend hospital as planned on Monday. Please be aware that you may be contacted by telephone, text message letter or email, if we do need to contact you.

Please do not call the hospital switchboard about your appointment on Monday, as they do not have any additional information.

Thank you for your cooperation.
