University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) is looking for people to put themselves forward to become a Governor.

It’s an important role and one in which you can play a key part in supporting the Trust.

If you’re interested in standing for election to the Council of Governors you can put yourself forward from 25 April 2023 until 19 May 2023.

We have 12 vacancies across 11 constituencies in this year’s election. Full details are outlined in the election notice page:

Dame Yve Buckland, Chair of the Trust, said: “Our governors are absolutely crucial to UHB. Governors play an integral role in our public and patient engagement; ensuring that local people and users of our services have their uniquely placed voice heard to improve services.

“The insights that governors gain are shared with leaders and board members at UHB; making sure that intelligence is received to every level of the organisation.

“We are looking for governors who embody the values of UHB; Kind, Connected and Bold. It is essential that individuals representing the views of our communities understand what is important to patients and bring a diverse and informed source of feedback to the organisation.”

An online nomination form to stand for election and more details about the role, can be accessed from the Civica Election Services (CES) website:
